Last chance to claim DfE funding for Senior Mental Health Leadership Training

The DfE recently announced that schools have until 31st December 2024 to claim grant funding for senior mental health leadership courses.

Applicants must apply by filling in Application form 1 by 31 December. You can then claim your funding by completing Application form 2 by 31 January 2025 (with evidence of your course booking). You will need to start your course by March 31 2024.

Grants are available for state-funded schools and colleges in England and some independent alternative provision settings. Second grants are available for settings whose senior mental health lead has left the role.

Real Training offers both an advanced and certificate award, with flexible online training delivered by practising educational psychologists. Amy Langford, Group Director of Inclusion at MK College Group recently completed our Senior Mental Health Leadership Certificate Award and had this to say about the course:

I can sincerely say that I have benefitted from this course and would encourage others in similar roles to have a look. It has made me take a step back and scrutinise our provision and the role we play as an organisation in our wider community in terms of promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.”
